Alberta Provincial Rural Crime Watch Association Annual General Meeting and Symposium. This year again approximately about four SPDCPA members are expected to attend the Annual General Meeting and Symposium in Peace River, AB Feb. 25-26/2022 .  SPDCPA and its’ member group, Dawson Creek & District Rural Crime Watch have a close relationship with the Alberta association, especially through that Association’s Zone 3 (Grande Prairie and area) organization.

The AGM is never dull and the Symposium speakers are routinely informative and interesting.

SPDCPA Christmas Gift Wrapping fundraiser at the Dawson Mall, Dawson Creek

Many dedicated volunteers from Rural Crime Watch and Citizens on Patrol put in many hours this year to wrap Christmas presents for shoppers from all over the Peace River area (and beyond) at the Dawson Mall in Dawson Creek from December 19  to 3 p.m. through to December 24, 2021.

We try to keep a positive upbeat and festive feeling in the Mall this year.  Christmas remained a time when many shop for gifts for friends and family and appreciate a little “help” in getting those gifts wrapped in time for the big day.

The Christmas Gift Wrap is an important fundraising event for the South Peace District Crime Prevention association, especially for its’ member groups Citizens of Patrol and Rural Crime Watch.  We appreciate the assistance of merchants and the Dawson Creek Mall Manager and the generosity of those whose presents we wrapped, all by donation.

SPDCPA “Safe Ride Home” for South Peace Oilmen’s Association Annual Lobsterfest Dinner

South Peace District Crime Prevention Association volunteers again provided “Safe Ride Home” services to the South Peace Oilmen’s Association at their annual Lobsterfest Dinner, this year on May ?, 2020.  Members work in pairs with one member driving attendees home in their vehicle while the other member follows in his or her own vehicle to bring both members back to the Curling Rink for another trip.  The generosity of the South Peace Oilmen’s Association makes this event a good fundraising event for the South Peace District Crime Prevention Association each year.
